A memorandum was signed with Turkish partners.

An important meeting was held at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University with representatives from Turkey’s prestigious Anadolu University. The guests opened the event with an introductory video presentation dedicated to their university’s activities.

During the meeting, issues aimed at expanding cooperative relations between the two universities were discussed. Specifically, matters such as signing a memorandum of mutual cooperation, implementing an online Turkish language teaching system, creating opportunities for JSPU students to study via distance education at Anadolu University, and organizing international conferences in collaboration with Turkish higher education institutions were considered.

The event was attended by a delegation consisting of Anadolu University’s Chief Secretary, Vice-Rector Ecevit Öksüz, and Director of Distance Education and International Cooperation Salih Gümüş, as well as Professor Birol Mercan from Nejmiddin Erbokan University. They presented proposals and initiatives for further expanding scientific-practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey.

JSPU Rector Maqsudjon Yuldashev emphasized the eternal friendship between the brotherly peoples and the steady development of close cooperative ties in higher education in recent years, stating readiness to implement all joint projects. At the end of the meeting, the parties signed a mutual memorandum and exchanged symbolic gifts. It was announced that initial practical work would begin on December 12–13.

It is worth mentioning that Anadolu University, which has been active for 44 years in full-time and distance education, is one of Turkey’s leading educational centers. The university employs 1,600 pedagogical specialists, has 25,000 students in full-time programs, and 1 million students in distance education. This university, recognized as the founder of distance education in Turkey, has trained over 10 million graduates during its 44-year history.
