The “Memory of the Victims of Repression” museum, established under the structure of Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, has enriched its historical treasury with another valuable exhibit.
Yesterday, a door knocker belonging to the household of Xidirnazar Ortiqov, who served as the chairman of the “Dmitrov” collective farm in the Jizzakh district around 1917, was added to the museum’s collection.

This item, which holds particular importance due to its valuable history and unique character, was donated to the museum by Xidirnazar Ortiqov’s grandson — Khayrulla Khidirov.

Upon detailed study, the exhibit reflects not only the historical heritage of one family but also the domestic life, social environment of that era, and traces of the propaganda experiences during the years of repression. Museum staff noted that this addition will further enrich the exposition and serve as a new source of historical reflection and knowledge for students and visitors.

The leadership of Jizzakh State Pedagogical University and the museum team express their gratitude to Khayrulla Khidirov for preserving the historical heritage and presenting it to the museum.
