Historical memory – a lesson for future generations.
The rector of Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, Professor Maqsudjon Yuldashev, together with the students, visited the “Memory of the Victims of Repression” Museum operating within the university.

During the visit, students became closely acquainted with the museum’s exhibits. The museum specialists provided interesting information about various artifacts and historical monuments, sharing heartfelt stories about the fate, lives, and social activities of those who were repressed from the Jizzakh region. The equipment, documents, and samples of tangible cultural heritage reflecting these historical processes left a deep impression on the visitors.

Rector Maqsudjon Yuldashev expressed his thoughts as follows:

“The victims of repression are those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and independence of our nation. Their lives and destinies are a school of example for each of us. Such visits further deepen our youth’s respect for historical memory and strengthen their sense of devotion to the Motherland.”

At the same time, during the visit, the students also expressed their opinions. Madina Khushvaqtova, a student of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and leader of the university’s Primary Organization, said:

“The exhibits we saw in the museum deeply moved our hearts. We not only learned about the fate of the victims of repression but also felt the value of freedom and independence more profoundly. Historical memory is a lesson for future generations. Knowing the hardships that lie behind today’s peaceful and free life clearly places a great responsibility on us to preserve our country’s independence.”

In addition, the rector and the students also visited the “University History” Museum, which was established in 2024 in honor of the university’s 50th anniversary celebrations. In this museum, students were shown exhibits reflecting the half-century history of the university, information about its leaders, manuscripts, various models, and photographs. The main purpose of the visit was to acquaint the younger generation with historical memory, strengthen their sense of patriotism, and further instill respect and gratitude for the memory of their ancestors.

It should be noted that such spiritual and educational events serve to further strengthen students’ interest in and reverence for our historical heritage.
