A New Stage in Education: The Path to Quality Education Has Been Opened
Recently, the Department of Education Quality Control has begun work to familiarize professors and teachers of higher educational institutions with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-76, adopted on May 5, 2025 – “On additional measures to ensure the quality of education and improve the system of providing educational services.” The next event was held with the participation of teachers of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology and the Faculty of Russian Language and Literature of the university.

This Decree is aimed at updating the education system based on international criteria, improving the quality of education, and bringing competitive personnel training to a new level. It sets out important tasks for evaluating educational and research processes based on modern standards, introducing a quality monitoring system in educational institutions, and widely introducing information technologies.

The “Roadmap”, presented as Annex 3 to the Decree, includes specific directions and measures for implementing these reforms. According to it, the followings will be implemented:

  • strengthening the organizational foundations of quality assurance in education,

  • creating evaluation and monitoring systems,

  • creating a quality culture,

  • improvement of the regulatory framework

This document serves as the basis for fundamental changes in improving the quality of education in Uzbekistan. It is expected that through the implementation of the tasks set out in the decree, not only the quality of the educational process, but also the overall level of educational services will significantly increase, and the opportunity to train knowledgeable and qualified personnel in accordance with international standards will expand.

At the end of the event, an open dialogue and question-and-answer session was organized with the faculty’s professors and teachers, and their opinions and suggestions were heard. This once again confirmed the importance of a practical approach and the principles of openness in relation to new reforms.
