A conference on this topic was organized at the Faculty of History.
In our country, great attention has been paid to the in-depth study and promotion of the heritage of our great ancestors, immortalizing their names, and educating the rising generation by introducing them to the activities and works of our forefathers. This is clearly evident in the spiritual and educational events and scientific-practical conferences held in connection with the 689th anniversary of the birth of our national genius, the unparalleled military leader and statesman, Timur (Amir Temur), taking place in various regions.

In particular, an event titled ‘Amir Temur: History, Lessons, and Modern Times’ was held at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University. The event was attended by students, professors, and teachers, as well as media representatives.

The event was opened with a speech by Professor Baxtiyor Mirkomilov, who highlighted that the 689th anniversary of the birth of our great statesman, reformer of the century, military leader, and tireless fighter for justice, Hazrat Amir Temur, is being remembered with pride by creators, scholars, and youth. He emphasized that Sovereign Amir Temur is one of the great figures who has contributed to our understanding of ourselves, the restoration of national traditions and values, and the spiritual strength of our people. He pointed out that today, in a historical period where justice and truth are prevailing in all aspects of life, Amir Temur stands as a symbol of our dignity, pride, and the genius of our people, representing the spiritual power of our nation.

Speakers at the event emphasized that Sovereign Amir Temur was not only the founder of the most powerful state of his time, a patron of science, culture, and spirituality, but also a key figure who influenced the historical changes that occurred in both Asia and Europe, contributing immensely to the development of the world. They highlighted that we honor Amir Temur as a great builder, and the remarkable architectural monuments and unparalleled gardens built in Samarkand, Shahrisabz, Bukhara, Tashkent, and other regions of the vast empire he established are tangible results of his practical courage. In the conclusion of the event, students conducted an interesting Q&A session related to the life of the great statesman and powerful military leader.
