Socially active students with high achievement scores are awarded educational grants.

The relevant resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of March 10, 2025 serves as an important legal basis for further improving the higher education system, fair and effective distribution of grants, and creating equal opportunities for young people. Within the framework of this resolution, the mechanism for identifying talented students, encouraging them, creating a competitive environment among students is being improved, and the process of training highly qualified specialists is being further developed.

According to the resolution, a differentiated redistribution of state grant quotas has been introduced in universities. Now, socially active students studying in the second and higher years with a high achievement rate will be provided with an education grant in full and partial forms.

Also, based on this document, additional opportunities were created for certain categories of students determined by the National Agency for Social Protection and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation. Students in this category can use two types of grants, depending on their achievement indicators. Through the first type of grant, their contract fee is fully covered from the State budget, and in the second type of grant, a certain part of the contract amount is covered from the funds of financially independent universities.

In addition, additional grants of up to 10 percent will be allocated for applicants in this category in addition to the state grant quota. Applicants who score more than 80 percent of the state grant passing score will have the opportunity to enroll in studies through these grants.

Another important innovation for students is that certain categories of students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher will be provided with an interest-free educational loan for the next academic year. Thanks to this opportunity, our young people will not face financial difficulties during their education. The process of providing grants is based on the principles of transparency and impartiality. All applicants can apply online through the official websites of universities.

Applicants for grants are evaluated by special commissions established at universities, and the results are announced before the start of the new academic year.
