Analysis of the work carried out under the “Corruption-Free Sector” project
A press conference was held at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University to analyze the activities of the Department for the Management of the Anti-Corruption “Compliance Control” System over the past year.

At the meeting of the National Anti-Corruption Council held under the leadership of our President on March 5 of this year, special attention was paid to ensuring transparency in the education sector and resolutely combating corruption. Opening the press conference, First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs, Spiritual and Educational Affairs S. Nazarqosimov emphasized that the team of Jizzakh State Pedagogical University is implementing a number of measures to ensure open and fair educational processes, reduce the human factor, and introduce innovative anti-corruption mechanisms.

It is worth noting that today the university has created the opportunity to obtain 35 types of documents without a human factor, and electronic document circulation has been introduced, which in turn opens up a wide range of opportunities for learning and dramatically improves the system of providing services to our student teachers without excessive bureaucratic obstacles. Also, social surveys and research are regularly organized among students and professors. In particular, during the past period, the Department of Combating Corruption and Managing the Compliance Control System conducted anonymous surveys with the participation of students and professors, such as “Have you encountered corrupt practices (greed, bribery) at the university?”, “What form of corruption have you encountered at the university?”. December 9 – “Anti-Corruption Week” dedicated to the “International Anti-Corruption Day” was held, and departments and faculties jointly organized seminars, competitions, and round tables on topics such as “I am against corruption”, “Corruption is a scourge of society”, “Fighting corruption is the duty of all of us”, “Corruption is an obstacle to the development of the country”. At the conference, participants were presented with information on the activities of the “Compliance-Control” system and its compliance with the international management system for combating corruption, and an analysis of the work carried out under the “Corruption-Free Sphere” project. During the conference, participants received answers to questions of interest to them.

After that, the conference participants visited the university’s “Registrar’s Office”. This modern structure is located in the main building of the university and has all the amenities for effective work. 26 young, qualified employees who are fluent in several foreign languages and have advanced training in foreign higher education institutions were selected to work in the office. They provide applicants with student ID cards, student transcripts, certificates from the place of study, academic transcripts, class schedules, attendance and mastery information, payment and contract agreements, applications for student housing, and digitalized circulars. The questions asked by the conference participants were answered in detail by specialists.
