Visit to the University of Portsmouth, UK, as part of an overseas scholarship
A. Jabborova, Head of the Department of English Language Theory and Practice, Faculty of Foreign Languages, visited the University of Portsmouth, UK, from March 14-21, 2025, under the “Grant Study Visit” program within the framework of the British Council’s AELLCA (Accelerating English Language Learning in Central Asia) project. This visit was organized to strengthen cooperation between JSPU and the University of Portsmouth, improve the quality of education and implement innovative projects. A. Jabborova met with Professors of the University of Portsmouth Dr. Peter Watkins, Dr. Marie McCullagh, Dr. Lin Zeng.

The professors shared their experiences and knowledge. They discussed the results of the implemented projects and planned future projects.
This cooperation is based on a common goal – to develop education, support innovation and create new opportunities for students and teachers. Through joint research, advanced training programs and academic exchanges, the foundation of quality education in Uzbekistan is being strengthened.

These visits and collaborations serve to strengthen academic ties between JSPU and the University of Portsmouth, improve the quality of education, and learn from international experiences.
