Professors from the University of Portsmouth are at JSPU.
Professors Peter Watkins and Gulsah Kutuk from the University of Portsmouth, UK, visited Jizzakh State Pedagogical University on March 3-4, 2025 as part of the British Council’s AELLCA (Accelerating English Language Learning in Central Asia) project.

This visit was organized to strengthen cooperation between JSPU and the University of Portsmouth, improve the quality of education and implement innovative projects. The professors shared their experience and knowledge with JSPU teachers and students. Professor Peter Watkins shared his recommendations and experience on modern educational technologies. Professor Gulsah Kutuk gave a lecture on stress management in education and effective organization of classes.

This partnership is based on a common goal – to develop education, support innovation, and create new opportunities for students and teachers. Through joint research, advanced training programs, and academic exchanges, the foundation of quality education in Uzbekistan is being strengthened.

These visits and collaborations serve to strengthen academic ties between JSPU and the University of Portsmouth, improve the quality of education, and learn from international experiences.

After the seminar, the guests visited the “Memory of Victims of Repression” and “University History” museums, organized within the university structure, on the eve of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of JSPU.
