At the initiative of the Faculty of Physical Culture, a group of winners and prize-winning students in the sport of penchak silat, accompanied by the President of the Penchak Silat Federation of Uzbekistan A. Azizov and the Vice President of the Asian Penchak Silat Federation M. Ruziboyev, visited.

As you know, in recent years, our country’s athletes have achieved worthy results in a number of competitions, international tournaments and championships in the national sport of Indonesia, pencak silat. In particular, the fact that members of the Uzbek national team won 2 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals at the continental championship held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, was a unique result. Students of Jizzakh State Pedagogical University also participated in these championships and took pride of place. Today, the Faculty of Physical Culture of the university also continues its activities in this type of sport. Yesterday, a group of winners and prize-winning students in pencak silat, accompanied by the President of the Pencak Silat Federation of Uzbekistan A. Azizov and the Vice President of the Asian Pencak Silat Federation M. Ruziboyev, visited the university.

At the beginning of the visit, the guests were received by the rector of the university, Sh. Sharipov. After that, a round table discussion was organized with the participation of the guests. During the conversation, which took place in the form of an open dialogue, the parties expressed their views on the popularization of the penchak silat sport in Uzbekistan, including in the Jizzakh region.

Also, the achievements and successes achieved by the university in this sport were recognized, and it was decided to hold the Asian Championship in this sport in the Jizzakh region in the future. At the end of the meeting, a memorandum was signed between the parties.
