“Poetry and Melody” evening
As part of the traditional “February Month of Great Scholars”, the “Poetry and Melody” evening was organized at JSPU.
A report concert program dedicated to the birthday of the sultan of ghazal poetry, Alisher Navoi, and the poet and statesman Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur was held at the JSPU Palace of Culture.

The event, organized by the University’s Department of Youth Affairs, Spirituality and Enlightenment, featured a musical program featuring the E. Lutfullayev Student Makom Ensemble. The event was opened by S. Nazarqosimov, First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs, Spirituality and Enlightenment.

The creative heritage of Navoi and Babur occupies a special place in the development of our classical music. Musical works sung with their unique ghazals have become the property of art lovers. At the same time, these musical works are also valuable for their perfection, uniqueness, deep and high artistic and philosophical spirit. This perfection and uniqueness can be felt in the ghazals sung by the student maqom ensemble.

At the “Poetry and Melody” evening, students and singers performed songs and charming dances praising true human qualities, goodness, humanity, love, and loyalty.
