As you know, on January 26 of this year, a working meeting was held between the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education, Abdukadir Tashkulov, and members of the delegation led by the Chairman of the Higher Education Council of the Republic of Turkey, Erol Ozvar, to expand cooperation in Higher Education. During the meeting, the leaders of the Higher Education Systems of Uzbekistan and Turkey discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation and opportunities to raise it to a new level. In particular, the sides exchanged views on the establishment of a joint university in our country, the allocation of grants for Uzbek students to study in Turkish universities, training in agriculture, medicine, and engineering, and strengthening cooperation in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and geology. It is no exaggeration to say that the meeting at the Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute is a successful continuation of cooperation. A delegation led by Birol Mercan, Professor of Najmiddin Erbakan, Turkish State University, visited our institute. At the beginning of the meeting, the parties also provided information about the educational process of universities, the region where they live, and world-renowned scholars. Najmiddin Erbakan State University is located in Konya, Turkey and was established in 1975. Today, more than 35,000 students and about 3,000 professors teach at the university. The university has 16 faculties. There are five universities in Konya province with a population of 1,500,000, and a total of 150,000 students study at these universities. During the meeting, which was organized to get acquainted and determine the target plans for the exchange of students and professors between the two universities, N. A number of proposals were made for the organization of online lectures by experienced professors and teachers from Erbakan State University, joint educational programs, and the training of young scientists conducting research. At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to expand cooperation in the fields of IT, pedagogy, and medicine, summarize the work done, raise cooperation between the two universities to a new level, and organize an online seminar in late February to study proposals and comments. At the end of the meeting, which was held in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, the guests were presented with souvenirs.   After that, the guests visited the “Museum of Repression” at the university.
