As you know, the presidential decision “On additional measures to improve the system of support for persons with disabilities” has been adopted. According to the decision, until June 1, 2023, a single list of benefits granted to persons with disabilities and their caregivers will be formed.
This list will be posted on the “Advice.uz” legal portal. According to it, from the 2023/2024 academic year, a full state grant will be provided for a master’s degree in the field of “Special pedagogy, defectology”. In the 2023/2024 academic year: information on the admission procedure intended for applicants will be in a format convenient for persons with disabilities; where the videos are shown with surto translation or subtitles. In order to help students with learning disabilities in the educational process, conditions will be created for one of their relatives to be with them at the higher education institution. This year, the National Center for Rehabilitation and Prosthetics of Persons with Disabilities and its regional centers will be equipped with a robotic locomotive complex and other modern rehabilitation equipment. According to the decision, the plan of additional measures to improve the system of support for persons with disabilities was also approved.
