A biology major requires a student to accumulate 30 credits per semester and 60 credits per academic year. The duration of study is 4 years, and the student must complete 240 credits before completing the program.

One ECTS credit in hours for a student is 1 credit 30 academic hours, and a student’s annual study load is 60 credits 1800 academic hours. Of this, 50% are classroom hours, 50% are divided into independent study hours. The volume of credits to be mastered by the student during the semester includes compulsory and optional subjects specified in the catalog of subjects.

The goals and tasks of science

The purpose of the science is to study the structure and adaptation of plants to environmental factors, the distribution of plants around the world, taxonomy, life forms, origin, taxonomic units, the laws of division into taxa, to teach students about prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms and their evolution. introduction to bottom plant groups (algae, algae and lichens) resulting from development. The purpose of the science is to provide knowledge about the plant organism, its macro and micro structure, flexibility features, changes in ontogeny, methods of reproduction, systematic description, the importance of plants in nature and human life, systematic classification, and their practical implementation.

The task of science is to teach students the scientific-theoretical foundations of botany, the methods of their use; modern research methods, working with microtechnics; preparation of micropreparations; preparation of educational and scientific herbariums; is to teach the analysis of the obtained results based on modern technologies.

  • – further advances in plant anatomy and morphology;
  • – about the theoretical issues of plant anatomy and morphology, including the interpretation of cell and tissue structure;
  • – the discovery of the cell and methods of studying it;

  • – the structure and function of cell organoids;
  • – tissue classification and function;
  • – the structure of plant organs;
  • – introduction to the science of anatomy and morphology of plants and knowledge of its main features;
  • – cell theory and its structure;
  • – cell study methods, organoids and functions;
  • – knowledge of the theory of cell structure and solving their practical problems;
  • – Photosynthesis, nuclear and cell division, turgor and plasmolysis events, plant respiration skills;
  • – to correctly solve the main problems using the theoretical knowledge of anatomy and morphology of plants;
  • – to determine the proper place of the science of plant anatomy and morphology in society;
  • – applying the acquired theoretical knowledge in practice, i.e. performing laboratory work;
  • – must have the skills to effectively use the received information.

Brief description of science:

The science of plant anatomy and morphology is intended for undergraduate students of biology, and includes an introduction to the anatomy and morphology of plants, the history of the development of the science of botany in Uzbekistan and foreign countries, the basic concepts and laws of botany, cell theory, cell structure, tissue classification and function, photosynthesis, nuclear and cell division, turgor and plasmolysis phenomena, plant respiration, plant organs, their types and functions are described. Thorough mastering of science, along with knowledge of theoretical materials, serves as a skill for students during their pedagogical practice and post-graduation work.
