On January 9, an intensive training on the topic “Principles of Continuous Professional Development of English Language Teachers” (Accelerating English Language Learning in Central Asia) began at the Uzbek State University of World Languages.
The training was attended by the rector of the Uzbek State University of World Languages, Professor Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov. Within the framework of the program, foreign experts Thom Kiddle, Emma-Jayne Robinson, Lisa Mann, Jamilya Gulyamova and Saida Irgasheva shared their skills and experience with the participants.
The project, organized in collaboration with the British Council, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Uzbek State University of World Languages, and the Tashkent State Pedagogical University, involved 160 English language teachers to improve their skills.

This international training is attended by professors and teachers of the Department of Theory and Practice of English Language, Faculty of Foreign Languages, JSPU. We would like to remind you that the project is an important step towards further improving the system of training English teachers in Uzbekistan in 2024-2025, adapting it to international standards and increasing its efficiency. This training, which plays an important role in the development of the national education system, will last until January 11.
