As the population’s demand for heating increases due to the sharp drop in air temperature during the autumn-winter season, various unfortunate incidents, namely fires, occur.
From November 15 to December 15 of this year, “Fire Safety Month” was declared in our Republic. In cooperation with the Jizzakh Regional Emergency Management Department and Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, seminars on “Prevention of Fire Safety” and “Botulism – a Dangerous Disease” were organized among professors, teachers, and students of each faculty in order to prevent possible fires, mass food and carbon monoxide poisoning.
The event provided information on not using various home-made heating devices, observing fire safety rules in residential premises, and not consuming expired food products. Questions asked by students were answered by experts, and notes on the topic were distributed during the preventive measures being carried out.
Also, during this event, it was investigated whether the building was equipped with primary fire extinguishing equipment, and whether the movement plan of workers and employees in the event of a fire in the building was correctly arranged. The state of preparation for the winter season of the heating boiler rooms of the university building and the student dormitory building was investigated, and appropriate recommendations were made.
