The year 2024 was full of news, achievements, and hopes for Jizzakh State Pedagogical University. Below you will find a brief summary of the work done in 2024.
👉Jizzakh State Pedagogical University celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2024.
👉A collection of books has been prepared under the title “Steps to University”.
👉A new library designed for 500 readers was put into operation. The Information Resource Center building began to provide services to readers 24/7. The automated reading room, built and put into operation on the 3rd floor, is equipped with 30 thousand publications and electronic versions of more than 40 thousand books.
👉The “University History” museum has been established. The museum contains manuscripts from 50 years of history, documents related to the construction of the university, and other exhibits.
👉A modern and fully equipped indoor swimming pool with a project cost of 3.07 billion soums was made available to professors, teachers and students.
👉New 600-bed student dormitory put into operation]
👉The university hosted 12 international and 6 republican conferences.
👉 38 PhD theses were defended at the university and 22 PhD theses underwent technical examination.
👉The university participated in 8 international rankings in 2024. It became a participant in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings and Asian Universities through the “Reporter” status. It ranked 1500th in the THE Impact Ranking. It was listed in the TOP-1000 among world universities in the UI Green Metrics and Round University Rankings.
👉The university has established partnerships with 60 of the world’s leading foreign higher education institutions.
👉In 2024, 40 foreign professors and teachers were involved in the educational process at JSPU. Of these, 22 are professors and teachers from higher education institutions that are among the top 1,000 in the rankings of higher education institutions of internationally recognized organizations.
👉In 2024, 25 professors and teachers were selected to undergo advanced training and internships abroad at the expense of extra-budgetary funds from the university.
👉The King Sejong Korean Language Center opened at the university in 2024. Fulbright Program Specialist Sandra Israel is working as part of the partnership between the US Embassy.
👉In the 2024/2025 academic year, 1 student was awarded the Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 10 students received the Navoi State Scholarship, 1 student received the Islam Karimov State Scholarship, 1 student received the Bobur State Scholarship, and 1 student received the Pahlavon Mahmud State Scholarship.
👉1 student was awarded the “Leader of Innovative Ideas” badge from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.
👉10 students became winners of the International Science Olympiads (1 gold, 1 silver, 8 bronze). 1 student won 2nd place in the scientific paper competition held by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.
👉6 students became the winners of the “University Scholarship”. 2 students became the winners of the Republican stage of the “Successors of Ulugbek” project competition. Also, 2 students became the winners of the competition organized by the “Ulugbek Foundation”.
👉The university has organized about 98 different scientific and creative clubs for talented students.
👉JSPU student Sarvinoz Hamidova became the first female athlete to win a gold medal at the Asian Pinchak Silat Championship.
👉Three JSPU students won bronze medals at the World Championship among adults in Pinchak-silat, a type of sport held in Abu Dhabi.
👉JSPU Volleyball (boys’ team) took 3rd place at the Republican stage of the Five Initiatives Olympiad
👉 Jasmin Tohirova, a first-year student at the Faculty of Physical Culture of JSPU, finished the World Youth Boxing Championship with a silver medal.
