The faculty was established in 1974. 73 professors and teachers are working at the faculty, 3 of them are
doctors of science, 29 are candidates of science, associate professors. Currently, 1520 bachelors and 154
masters are studying at the faculty. The faculty has published 3 textbooks, 12 study guides, 10 monographs, and
has obtained 8 patents (in the biology department), 8 international certificates on the Russian language.
In the Faculty of Natural Sciences, “Young Zoologists”, “Young Botanists”, “Young Scientific Talent”, “Young
Geographer” (group members participated in conferences with more than 20 scientific articles), “Young Chemist”
(group members from 20 participated in various conferences with more than 40 scientific articles, more than 40
theses) online “Young biologists” circle was established from biological sciences. The “Uniform Electronic
Library” portal of educational literature on biological sciences has been developed and put into practice.
On April 15-16, 2022, the institute stage of the Olympiad was held among the students of the general education
school who took 1-10 places in the regional Olympiad in chemistry and biology. To the students who took 1-3
places (1st place in Chemistry Israilov Aziz Sh.Rashidova district 36th school, 2nd place Toshpulotov Jamshid
Zomin district 25th school, 3rd place Asrorova Vasila Jizzakh city 12th school students in the field of
chemistry ), (1st place in Biology Orzikulova Diyora Sh.Rashidova district 12th school, 2nd place Saddullayeva
Shahzoda Dustlik district 20th school, 3rd place Azamov Alijon Jizzakh city 22nd USBS (Umid specialized boarding
school) It was recommended that the students enter the biology department at the expense of the institute’s
financing.
Two of our students, Murodullayev Khoshim Kamoliddin ogli and Korakulov Ulmas Abduvali ogli, took part in the
competition “Connoisseur of A. Soliyev’s works” dedicated to the memory of professor A. Soliyev, PhD, professor
of geography of Andijan State University, Andijan regional branch of the Geographical Society and they won 3rd
place.
