The goals and tasks of science

The purpose of the subject is to teach the future teachers of chemistry in depth the most important theoretical principles in chemistry, to provide knowledge that meets the state educational standard and qualification students, to describe the natural reserves of the Republic and the production of products from them for each subject. It is to show the educational and educational importance of teaching by means of teaching, to carry out orientation to the profession by in-depth coverage of issues related to chemistry courses of schools, academic lyceums and vocational colleges.

The task of the subject is to teach students, on the basis of the National Personnel Training Program, as well as the possibility of conducting experiments in general chemistry, to be able to work with chemical vessels, chemical reagents, gas and electric heating devices, weigh on modern scales, various it is required to be able to conduct laboratory experiments, to conduct various experiments using glass tubes and containers, to be able to make devices, to be able to analyze educational literature, to have the skills and abilities to perform calculations with chemical formulas and equations.

What knowledge and skills the student will have at the end of the course?

  • – historical stages of the formation and development of general chemistry;
  • – further achievements of chemical sciences;
  • – about the theoretical issues of chemistry, including the quantum mechanical interpretation of the structure of atoms and molecules;
  • – development and general description of the concept of chemical bonding;
  • – chemical thermodynamics, kinetic and thermodynamic laws of chemical processes;
  • – laws of oxidation-reduction reactions and electrolysis;
  • – theory of electrolytic dissociation and hydrolysis processes;
  • – introduction to organic chemistry and knowledge of its main features;
  • – D.I. Mendeleev’s periodic system, the structure of simple and complex substances of the elements of the main and additional groups;
  • – acquisition and properties;
  • – knowledge of quantum mechanical theories of the structure of atoms and molecules and their solution to practical problems;
  • – the structure, acquisition and properties of simple and complex substances of basic and additional group elements in D.I. Mendeleev’s periodic system;
  • – to correctly solve the main problems of ecology using the theoretical knowledge of chemistry;
  • – to determine the appropriate place of general chemistry in society;
  • – to practice the acquired theoretical knowledge, i.e. to perform laboratory work;
  • – must have the skills to effectively use the obtained substances.

Brief description of science:

General chemistry is intended for undergraduate chemistry students and includes an introduction to chemistry, the history of the development of general chemistry and the development of chemistry in Uzbekistan, the basic concepts and laws of chemistry, the main classes of inorganic compounds, D.I. Mendeleev’s periodic table of elements law and periodic system of chemical elements, modern theories of atomic structure and chemical bonding, chemical kinetics and chemical equilibrium, energetics of chemical processes, solutions and their properties, electrolyte solutions and oxidation-reduction reactions, basic theories of organic chemistry and coordination chemistry course lum is stated in consistency. Thorough mastering of science, along with knowledge of theoretical materials, serves as a skill for students during their pedagogical practice and post-graduation work.
