A spiritual and educational event was organized under the theme “Abdullah Qadiri – from the treasury of Uzbek literature”.
Jizzakh State Pedagogical University is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The guests who were invited to the spiritual and educational event organized in connection with this auspicious date and the 130th anniversary of the great writer A. Qadiri’s birth were first received by the rector of the university. The meeting with Uzbek “Kumush” – actress Gulchehra Jamilova, beloved by our people, and a number of artists was held in a cordial spirit. At the end of the conversation, the rector of the university presented the guests with a 5-volume book “Towards the University”, which contains 50 years of interesting and life events, published in connection with the anniversary celebrations. After that, the artists invited to the event got acquainted with the conditions created in the educational institution. Favorite Uzbek artists and young people took pictures in the “Professors’ Garden”.The event which was organized in connection with the 130th anniversary of the birth of the famous writer Abdulla Qadiri, the founder of Uzbek novel, who made a great contribution to the development of Uzbek literature and culture, and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Jizzakh State Pedagogical University was opened by S. Nazarqasimov, the first vice-rector of the university for youth issues, spiritual and educational affairs.
“Exactly 86 years ago, a number of self-sacrificing enlighteners of our nation, owners of great talents, supporters of the development, freedom, and well-being of the Motherland and the country, leaders, young people with awake hearts and minds, thirsting for the development of thought, were brutally executed. On October 4, 1938, Abdulla Qadiri was sentenced to death along with many intellectuals of the country. At today’s event, the life and work of one of the great figures of Uzbek literature, Abdulla Qadiri, was specially remembered. Excerpts from the writer’s masterpieces were presented at the commemorative event held as part of the 50th anniversary of our university. Monologues were read by actors who played the main roles in these works. In my opinion, these images have become Uzbek national symbols. I am sure that thousands of Otabeks, Kumushs, Anvars, and Ranas will grow up among our students. They will become the creators, devotees, creators and heroes of tomorrow,” says S. Nazarqasimov.
The director of Abdulla Qadiri House Museum, Abdullah Qadiri’s grandson Khondamir Qadiri also participated in the event. He shared the best memories of the writer and his family.
Writers and poets invited to the event presented interesting historical events and information about the writer’s life and work and works.
People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Gulchehra Jamilova’s stories about the history of the creation of the feature film “O’tgan kunlar” captivated everyone.
The solemn event was concluded by the performances of the team of the university’s student theater studio and the musical performances of the ensemble of student makomists named after E. Lutfullayev.
In the afternoon, guests invited to the event visited Sharof Rashidov, Hamid Olimjon and Zulfiyakhanim house museums.
