A spiritual and educational event was held on the theme of “Our language is our wealth” on the occasion of “October 21 – the day of the Uzbek language holiday” by the external department in the department of distance education in pre-school and primary directions. The event was attended by Hayat Shodmon, member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, publicist of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, poet, professors and teachers of the department and students of correspondence department. On this language holiday, associate professor of the department Qabul Kubayev gave a lecture about the history and importance of granting the status of the state language to the Uzbek language. The poet Hayot Shodmon explained the variants of the original Turkish words that exist in the Uzbek language. During the event, teachers and students expressed their opinions about the holiday. At the end of the holiday, a poetry reading was organized.
