<\/p>\n
The Faculty of Physical Education began to take shape based on the Department of Physical Education and Sports, established on September 1, 1976, at Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute. The first head of this department was Ravshan Abdumalikov, a candidate of pedagogical sciences and associate professor. The department\u2019s activities were organized as a general service structure for all faculties of the institute. Starting in 1980, the faculty began training specialists in physical education teaching. In the first year, 19 students graduated and started their careers as highly qualified physical education pedagogues.<\/p>\n
From 1985 to 2005, the department and its programs operated under the Faculty of Primary Education, and from 2005 to 2018, under the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology. In 2018, the Physical Education program was separated into an independent faculty and began functioning autonomously.<\/p>\n
Over the years, the department was led by experienced educators such as Khoshim Komilov, Hamidulla Meliyev, Shaykhiddin Khasanov, Turg\u2018un Kholdorov, Farhod Yusupov, Bahriddin Bo\u2018riboyev, Furqat Axmedov, and Shodiyor Atamurodov.<\/p>\n
Since 2015, specialized programs such as the Theory and Methodology of Physical Education and the Methodology of Teaching Sports Disciplines were unified into a single structure. From 2021\u20132022, the number of educational programs expanded, with new directions introduced: Sports Activities (Wrestling) and Sports Activities (Volleyball).<\/p>\n
The faculty currently has two main departments:

Currently, the faculty has 580 undergraduate students and 12 master\u2019s students. Faculty professors conduct research, develop methodological guides, and deliver classes based on modern pedagogical approaches.<\/p>\n
Faculty graduates work not only across Uzbekistan but also in Central Asia and other foreign countries in the field of sports.
